This Vintage Dark Blue Enamel Coffee Pot Bird Feeder / Planter was made in Poland after the second world war. Poland started to produce a lot of enamel kitchen ware to help get the country back on its feet.
We have mounted it on oak and sanded and waxed it to show off the grain, we have not stained or varnished the timber as we believe that the timber will look better as it weathers.
This Enamel Coffee Pot is an ideal shape for a bird feeder but could also be used as a planter, if using as a planter or feeder you would leave the spout open for drainage. As a feeder pack it with lard and seed, we have included a recipe and instructions for filling.
We resurch the pots history and write the results on the back, and then mount a coin relevant to the age of the pot on the front timber and this one has a George VI penny.
As well as making an excellent bird feeder or planter it will make a unique stunning feature / talking point for your garden.
